Eirini Merkouri
Eirini Merkouri (Ειρήνη Μερκούρη in Greek) (b. in Ilion, Athens, on May 26, 1981) is a Greek pop singer. Born into a family of musicians, she began showing interest in being a singer at a very young age, at age seven she would mimic all the singers she would see on tv. She recorded her first solo album "Na fisaei i Anoixi", (Να Φυσάει η Άνοιξη in Greek), in 2001 and has sung duets with various different artists such as Antonis Remos, and Sarbel. She is currently under contract with Sony Music Greece.
In 2004 she was featured in the hit single Se Pira Sovara (Σε Πήρα Σοβαρά in Greek), with pop singer Sarbel. On the same CD (a CD single) Merkouri and Sarbel also released a second duet together called Agapi Mou Esi. Read more on Last.fm.
